Amazing Grace Ministry
Let us tell you about an amazing ministry that is part of the Gause Methodist Church...
It is known as Amazing Grace of Gause and was started through the philanthropy of former members of the Gause Methodist Church, Mike and Jeanne Niklash. The concept is simple. We accept donations of good condition, clean, serviceable items and we then distribute those items to families in need. There is no income determination, but those wishing to receive items must first be cleared by our pastor.
We handle items such as beds, bedding, furniture, decor items, kitchen items, appliances, and other similar things.
We are open by appointment plus we open on the 4th Saturday of each month from 10 - 12 am to coincide with the Harvest of Hope program at the Wellspring Church in which the Gause Methodist Church is a participant.
Condition of Items:
Items are where is as is and there is NO warranty for any item under any circumstances. We have limited testing capabilities, but we will test each item the best of our ability when it is received, but that does not mean that all functions are workable. We also cannot guarantee that all parts for all items will be present, but we make every effort possible to ensure that they are.
How to Participate:
Contact Pastor Kyle McNeely either at the Harvest of Hope at Wellspring Church on the 4th Saturday of each month or by phone at 979.446.5522.
Be prepared to discuss your situation and what you need with him.
Location and Pickup Instructions:
Amazing Grace is in the house located directly across Walnut Avenue in Gause from the Gause Methodist Church.
There are signs on the building and a sign next to the building.
If you are attempting to pick up heavy items, you MUST bring someone with you who is able to safely load the items and you will need a vehicle suitable to carry the items.
NOTE: Amazing Grace staff are not able to help load your items!
Donations!
We gladly accept donations and will do so on an appointment basis or anytime personnel are present. We ask the following of donors:
All items must be reasonably clean and presentable
All items must be in working order with all parts present
All items must be serviceable.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO DUMP UNWANTED ITEMS OR ANY ITEM NOT MEETING THE ABOVE CRITERIA. This is a ministry to help people not to provide them with junk or unusable items. Please join with us in this effort to ease the burden on those in our community who need the assistance.
Should you bring items not meeting the criteria, they will NOT be accepted.
To all involved, we thank you for being part of this important and valuable ministry to the Gause community.
